HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DISNEYLAND!
“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here, age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”
- Walt Disney’s dedication of Disneyland
July 17, 1955
Uncle Walt, somehow just saying “thanks” doesn’t seem nearly enough. But from the bottom of my heart, I do thank you, for Disneyland and for all the creative genius you shared with us and continue to inspire within us.
If you have a favorite Disneyland (or other Disney theme park) memory, share it here.

Do we also thank good ol’ Walt for the million dollar price of admission? I actually work just minutes away from Disneyland - I haven’t been there in years. Can’t afford it.

I’m one year and 363 days younger than DL. Isn’t there some sort of Disney Dollar or Mickey Award I should get for that? One good thing, my ears are nowhere near as large as those of the cute little mouse - thank God! But I DO enjoy cheese…
